Local time: 14.30 hours HST

The Pipemasters today was closed for business, all the masters were not on site today. The forecast looked good yesterday so I decided to take the trip to the North Shore to film the event. Unfortunately the event was not on, but by looking at Pipe it became obvous real quick why it was not on. The surf was too small and there were many close outs. Other than that the North Shore turly was  the 7 Mile Miracle today. The conditions were perfect and all the spots between Hale’iwa and Sun Set looked nice at a small 2-4 feet ocasionally 6feet or evenbigger like that freak set I cought on camera at „off the wall“ in the afternoon shortly before heading back to the airport.

Well, somtimes you have to take the gamble, I would have been much more disapointed if I stood at home and the contest would have been on, at least this way I was able to join the perfect waves for some good fun.
